The rise in popularity of old school New York Graffiti Art is seen in the growing number of auctions in the big auction houses Artcurial, Paris and Sotheby's Amsterdam.
Building on the success of the Artcurial auction last February 2008 - with record prices for works of Crash, Futura 2000, Blade, Quik, Dondi White a.o. - the following auctions will take place in December:
Sotheby's Amsterdam will do a thematic Graffiti Art auction within it's Contemporary Art Auction of December 3rd featuring historical works from graffiti artists Crash, Blade, Quik and Dondi.

Artcurial Paris has a big Graffiti Art only auction on December 15th in Paris featuring New York- and French Graffiti Artists.
